The International Peace Information (IPI) successfully convened a significant seminar on peacekeeping education in Unguja, Zanzibar this past week. This educational initiative underscores our core mission of fostering regional peace and security through strategic cooperation and capacity-building.

The seminar, titled “Semina ya Utoaji wa Elimu ya Utunzaji wa Amani,” provided a vital platform for trainers, security practitioners, and policymakers. The sessions focused on contemporary peacekeeping methodologies, the challenges of transnational threats, and the critical importance of coordinated, rule-based responses.

Participants engaged in intensive workshops and dialogues, sharing best practices and operational knowledge. The discussions emphasized that effective peacekeeping in today’s world—facing interconnected challenges from organized crime to climate-related instability—requires robust, cross-border collaboration that respects both national sovereignty and international law.

This initiative is a direct embodiment of IPI’s operational principle: that cooperation, not domination, is essential for global stability. By enhancing the skills and knowledge of regional actors, we strengthen the collective security architecture. IPI remains dedicated to transforming dialogue into actionable frameworks, ensuring that peace and development are achievable, shared goals.

International Peace Information (IPI) is a registered organization in Tanzania dedicated to fostering peace, security, and development through regional and international strategic cooperation.
